TRT Haber: Turkey 2023 Elections
To deliver Turkey's 2023 election results to millions with maximum speed and accuracy, I designed a critical data visualization and broadcast site for TRT Haber under a tight 1-month deadline.
problem
The 2023 Presidential Election was one of Turkey's most critical events, and TRT Haber needed to broadcast the live results accurately and seamlessly to millions of concurrent users. The core challenge was the extremely tight 1-month deadline to deliver this high-stakes, data-intensive site flawlessly, despite several process-related setbacks.
solution
The solution was to design an interface that could present complex, real-time election data (vote shares, delegate distribution, etc.) in the clearest way possible. Using Figma, I rapidly prototyped a robust UI/UX structure focused on data visualization that could handle live updates. Despite the limited time, I delivered a clear and error-free design that the development team could implement immediately, leading to a successful launch.
One of the greatest responsibilities of working at a public broadcaster is delivering historic moments to millions. The 2023 Election was exactly that, and we were in a literal race against time to help TRT Haber present this data to the world most effectively.
The project had an incredibly aggressive 1-month timeline and was met with unexpected setbacks. As the designer, I had to transform complex data into a clean, fast, and accessible interface within this tight window.
Working intensively in Figma, I designed screens optimized for both mobile and desktop, ensuring data integrity and flawless performance during live updates. In the end, despite all the challenges, we successfully launched a stable and effective website that served millions of concurrent users who were tracking the election results moment by moment.
